The terms governing your use of the Alpha CR Solutions website, training courses, simulations, learning platform and services.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at alphacrsolutions.co.za, our learning platform at learn.alphacrsolutions.co.za, and the training, simulations, software and related services made available by Alpha CR Solutions ("Alpha CR Solutions", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our website, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using our services, you ("you", "your", the "user") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.
Alpha CR Solutions is a clinical research consultancy and training provider based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. We provide regulatory and ethics consultancy, study start-up and site support, clinical monitoring (CRA) services, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training, CRA training and simulations, and clinical research software.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use our website or services is the version that applies. Your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding agreement to use our services or enrol in our courses. By using our website or services, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of any organisation you represent.
You may use our website for lawful, informational and legitimate business purposes only. You agree not to:
We offer paid and unpaid training courses, CRA simulations and related materials, which may be delivered through our learning management system (LMS) at learn.alphacrsolutions.co.za or in person.
Fees for paid courses and services are as quoted to you at the time of enrolment or in your services agreement. Unless stated otherwise, fees are payable in advance and access is activated once payment is confirmed.
Because access to digital course content is granted immediately on enrolment, fees for courses are generally non-refundable once access has been provided, except where required by law or expressly agreed in writing. If you believe there has been a billing error or you are unable to access a course you have paid for, please contact us promptly and we will work with you to resolve it.
Cancellations made before enrolment may qualify for a partial refund. Full details of cancellations, pre-enrolment refunds and how to request them are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Where a course includes a certificate of completion, the certificate confirms that you completed the relevant Alpha CR Solutions training and any associated assessment. Our certificates are evidence of training undertaken; they do not, by themselves, constitute a professional licence, accreditation, or a guarantee of employment, regulatory recognition, or eligibility for any particular role. Recognition of training by employers, sponsors or regulators is at their discretion.
All content on our website and learning platform — including text, graphics, logos, the "α" mark, course materials, simulations, assessments, templates and software — is owned by or licensed to Alpha CR Solutions and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you to access and use materials for your own learning, no rights are transferred to you. You may not use our name, logo or branding without our prior written consent.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or where necessary to protect the security of our systems and other users.
Our training, simulations and website content are provided for educational and informational purposes. They are designed to support competency in clinical research and Good Clinical Practice, but they do not constitute regulatory, legal, medical or other professional advice, and must not be relied upon as a substitute for applicable laws, regulations, guidelines (including ICH-GCP and SAHPRA requirements), sponsor procedures, or the advice of a qualified professional.
While we take care to ensure our materials are accurate and current, regulatory requirements change, and we make no warranty that the content is complete, error-free or applicable to your specific circumstances. You are responsible for ensuring that your professional conduct complies with the requirements applicable to your role, study and jurisdiction.
Our website and learning platform may link to or rely on third-party services — for example our learning platform, payment arrangements, and professional resources. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party websites or services. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
We aim to keep our website and learning platform available and functioning correctly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free access. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the website or platform for operational, maintenance or security reasons, and we will try to give reasonable notice where practicable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alpha CR Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) our website, learning platform, courses or content. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the website and any course shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant course. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alpha CR Solutions and its personnel from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the website or course materials, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using our website and services, you acknowledge that we may process your personal information as described in that policy, in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You agree that the courts of South Africa shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of our website and services.
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, our practices, or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
